Maigold at a glance
Meet 'Maigold', a magnificent climbing rose that adds a touch of nostalgia and warmth to your garden with its radiant yellow, semi-double flowers. This rose, also known as Rosa pimpinellifolia Maigold, was introduced by Kordes in 1953 and is known for its old-fashioned charm and moderate, pleasant fragrance. The large flowers (8–12 cm) appear abundantly and also attract bees and butterflies, contributing to biodiversity in your garden.
Reaching an impressive height of 250–500 cm, 'Maigold' is ideally suited for training along a pergola, wall, fence, or as a rose hedge. It is a repeat-flowering rose that treats you to an uninterrupted display of blooms from June to September. This vigorous climber thrives in a spot with at least 4 hours of sunlight and is fully winter-hardy, making it a reliable addition for many years to come.
At Belle Époque Rozenkwekerij in Aalsmeer, we supply only top-quality roses. Our 'Maigold' roses are organically grown with care and more than 40 years of expertise (SKAL-certified). They are shipped directly from our nursery, ensuring that you receive a healthy and strong plant ready to enrich your garden with its timeless beauty.
Forty years of nothing but roses
Belle Époque is a family business, not a wholesaler. From our greenhouses in Aalsmeer, we have been growing only roses for over four decades — and every plant we send out is personally selected by us. This way, you receive not a catalog rose, but a plant ready to grow.
