Tuscan Terracotta Pot Original
Tuscan Terracotta Pot Original
Description
The Vaso del Prete is one of the most distinctive models in the Tuscan terracotta tradition. With its elegant shape, wide rim, and warm terracotta color, this handmade pot brings the atmosphere of an Italian villa or monastery garden straight to your own terrace and garden.
Each pot is handmade from high-quality Tuscan clay. Centuries-old craftsmanship creates a durable terracotta pot with a natural look that only becomes more beautiful over the years.
The Vaso del Prete is available in two sizes:
- 37 cm diameter × 34 cm high
- 50 cm diameter × 45 cm high
The perfect pot for roses
Roses thrive in Tuscan terracotta. The natural clay lets air and moisture through, keeping the roots healthy and allowing excess water to drain more easily.
The smaller 37 cm version is ideal for a patio or compact shrub rose, while the generous 50 cm version is perfect for larger English roses, abundantly flowering shrub roses, or a combination of several plants.
At Belle Epoque, we love pairing the Vaso del Prete with fragrant David Austin roses, distinctive historic roses, or colorful repeat-flowering garden roses. The warm terracotta hue enhances the colors of the flowers and creates a timeless, romantic look.
Tuscan ambiance on your terrace
In addition to roses, the Vaso del Prete is also beautiful planted with lavender, sage, rosemary, or other Mediterranean plants. Combining Tuscan pots in different sizes creates an atmospheric Italian garden experience where fragrance, color, and nature come together.
Handcrafted in Tuscany
Each Vaso del Prete is individually finished by Tuscan artisans. Small variations in color, texture, and finish make every pot unique. The high-quality clay is known for its durability and frost resistance, allowing the pot to remain outdoors for years.

Advice from Belle Epoque
For the best results, we recommend filling the pot with high-quality rose soil and adding a drainage layer at the bottom. This creates the ideal conditions for healthy roots and abundant blooms.

Forty years of nothing but roses
Belle Époque is a family business, not a wholesaler. From our greenhouses in Aalsmeer, we have been growing only roses for over four decades — and we personally select every plant we send out. This way, you receive at home not a catalog rose, but a plant ready to grow.
"Beautiful climbing rose, bloomed abundantly in the very first year! Well packaged and exactly what I expected based on the description. Belle Époque truly delivers top quality."
"The rose is well packaged and looks beautiful. Fast delivery, and the personal advice via email was very valuable — I wasn’t sure where to plant it."
"Amazing quality & service. I ordered two New Dawns and they are developing beautifully in the garden. Fast shipping from Aalsmeer to Belgium — would absolutely order again."
