The 'Rose de Rescht', a rose with a rich history rooted in distant Persia or France and brought to England by Miss Nancy Lindsay in the 1940s, is a true treasure for any garden. Its deep purple to lilac-hued, very full flowers unfurl into a perfect rosette shape and release an enchanting, intense damask fragrance that fills the air with classic charm. As a compact shrub rose (0.5 - 1m), the 'Rose de Rescht' is a versatile addition. It looks beautiful in borders and beds, as well as in a spacious pot on your balcony or patio, where its repeat-flowering nature and rich fragrance can be fully appreciated. Care & Plants
Plant rozen bij voorkeur in het najaar (oktober-november) of vroege voorjaar (maart-april) als wortelgoed. Rozen in pot kunnen het hele jaar door geplant worden, mits de grond niet bevroren is. Kies een zonnige plek met goed doorlatende, voedzame grond. Graaf een ruim plantgat, zorg dat de oculatieplaats (verdikking) net onder de grond zit en geef na het planten ruim water.
Snoei de 'Rose de Rescht' in het vroege voorjaar, na de laatste vorst. Verwijder dode, zieke of kruisende takken en snoei de overige takken terug tot 3-5 ogen boven de grond. Dit stimuleert nieuwe groei en een rijke bloei.
Geef tijdens droge periodes regelmatig water, vooral in het eerste groeiseizoen. Bemest in het voorjaar en na de eerste bloei met speciale rozenmest voor een uitbundige bloei en gezonde groei. Een mulchlaag helpt vocht vasthouden en onkruid onderdrukken.
