This summer, we received the sad news that David J. C. Austin, son of the renowned rose breeder David Austin, passed away at the age of 67.
David Austin Junior continued his father's life's work and played an important role in the international growth of David Austin Roses. With his love of quality, beauty, and craftsmanship, he helped make the English rose beloved around the world.
David Austin's roses are also very special to Belle Epoque and many rose enthusiasts. They bring color, fragrance, romance, and stories to our gardens. His legacy therefore lives on in the millions of roses that bloom all over the world.
