Nadia Zerouali – Fragrant yellow shrub rose with a citrus aroma
Nadia Zerouali is a fragrant shrub rose with strikingly large creamy yellow flowers that bloom in small clusters or as solitary blooms. This healthy, bushy shrub reaches a height of 70–80 cm and blooms from June to October in repeated flushes. Thanks to its lemon fragrance and prolific flowering, it is attractive not only to people but also to butterflies and bees.
This rose is particularly suitable for organic cultivation and thrives equally well in borders, pots, planters, or baskets. With its sunny yellow color, Nadia makes an excellent background plant for colorful roses and perennials. It also performs well as a cut flower in a vase.
What makes this rose especially unique is its culinary use. The petals have a fresh citrus and lemongrass flavor – perfect for salads, Arab-Mediterranean dishes, meat and fish dishes, or sweet creations. According to TV chef Nadia Zerouali, the flower is best enjoyed in stews or as a garnish for seafood and desserts.
