About Bijenweelde Abrikoos

Discover the enchanting 'Bee Abundance Apricot', a true asset for any garden teeming with life. This charming groundcover rose adorns your outdoor space with its open, semi-double flowers in a warm apricot color, beautifully highlighted by striking yellow stamens. They appear in rich clusters, creating a long-lasting color spectacle that bees and bumblebees find irresistible. A lively display of natural beauty and biodiversity.

The 'Bee Abundance Apricot' is exceptionally versatile and ideal for various garden uses. Create a lush, blooming carpet under taller plants, fill borders with a sea of apricot-colored flowers, or use it as a low-maintenance eye-catcher that provides years of enjoyment. Its compact and bushy growth makes it perfect for both small and large gardens, where it adds both beauty and ecological value.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, quality comes first. With over 40 years of expertise, we cultivate every 'Bee Abundance Apricot' rose with passion and care. Directly from our nursery, you receive a healthy, strong plant with excellent resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and black spot. This makes it a sustainable and reliable choice, grown with respect for nature and ready to enrich your garden with years of carefree gardening pleasure.

Care & Plants
Plant the 'Bijenweelde Apricot' preferably in a sunny spot with well-draining soil. For potted plants, this can be done all year round; bare-root roses should be planted between October and April. Dig a spacious planting hole, mix the excavated soil with compost, and ensure that the graft union is just below the soil surface. Gently press the soil down and water generously immediately.
Prune the 'Bijenweelde Apricot' in early spring, around March, when the worst frost has passed. Cut all stems back to about 15-20 cm above the ground, just above an outward-facing bud. Remove weak, dead, or crossing branches to keep the plant healthy and bushy.
Water the 'Bijenweelde Apricot' regularly during dry periods, especially in the first year after planting. Fertilize the rose in spring and again after the first bloom with a special rose fertilizer for optimal flowering. A layer of mulch around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
